Authors

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE AUTHORS

Submission of research papers is encouraged. You can download the Call for Paper. Contributions are solicited in subjects ranging from basic signature research to applications in system design, optimization and evaluation. Here is the timeline of the event.

Abstract submission
The abstract must be written in English (300 words maximum) and submitted electronically in Word format using the template file. It would include the title, names and affiliation of authors and the contact author. The abstract will be send to itbms(at)onera.fr

Abstract submission before 15 March 2018    Extended to 2 April 2018

Notification of acceptance
The acceptance of the oral presentation will be notified to the contact author by the organization committee of the event 10 days after submission. Please, keep in mind that the attendance will be limited to 110 participants.

Full paper submission
The full paper must be written in English. It should be submitted by email at itbms(at)onera.fr before 30 April 2018. The maximum size of the file is fixed to 3Mb in Word format. The template file can be download here. For different file formats and oversized files, please contact the organization committee.

Oral presentation
Working language during the workshop is English. A large part of the event is dedicated to discussion and exchanges with all the participants. Papers accepted for presentation would be included in the Proceedings of the Workshop (if the paper is presented by one of the authors). This document will be printed and given at all the attendes. Time slot allowed to each oral presentation is 25 mn including questions.

 


TOPICS

Contributions are solicited in subjects ranging from basic signature research to applications in system design, optimization and evaluation:

  • Data, techniques, models, and validation of IR signatures of land, sea and air targets and backgrounds, and of targets in backgrounds
  • Extension to infrared polarization hyperspectral and active signatures
  • Optical properties of complex surfaces
  • Models validation and metrics
  • IR signature management models
  • Modeling and simulation of IR clutter (soil, maritime, atmospheric)
  • Radiative transfer, propagation models and optical data sets
  • Impact of climatic conditions on signatures
  • Active / Laser imaging systems

Due to the localization of the workshop, a special session will be devoted to optical signatures and related technologies in a maritime context.

All sessions of the workshop will be unclassified.
