THERMOANALYTICS

ThermoAnalytics was founded by Keith Johnson along with Al Curran back in 1996 as a spin-off from Michigan Technological University. We had a singular mission then that remains at the core of the company’s driving principles today: to develop and deploy the most robust, intelligent and accurate thermal modeling technologies and methodologies in the world. Our vision was to become the leading total thermal solutions provider of software and services. Since our founding as a humble but ambitious eight-person operation in the 90’s, ThermoAnalytics has grown to well over 60 employees operating out of four facilities in the U.S. and Europe.

Today, ThermoAnalytics provides software and services to both commercial and government customers. We are a leading developer of thermal, fluid-flow and infrared modeling software. Over the years, we have pioneered thermal analysis tools and technology used in industries such as automotive, architecture, aerospace, defense, manufacturing and textiles.

ThermoAnalytics is an employee-owned company with its headquarters in Michigan's scenic Upper Peninsula, where our highly trained team of researchers has access to the expertise of one of the world’s leading research universities, Michigan Technological University. Though the company has grown and continued to drive innovation in our two decades in business, we remain committed to mastering the challenges of thermal management by applying the most sophisticated technology to identify design challenges and opportunities earlier, faster, more reliably and at lower cost.

Since our founding in 1996, ThermoAnalytics has remained committed to mastering both the art and the science of thermal simulation, based specifically on transient analysis methodology. As opposed to most modeling software that simulates heat modeling in a steady-state, laboratory-like environment, transient analysis simulates the true complexity of the real-world environment and the performance of the manufactured components. The result is the most accurate, innovative, complete and reliable simulation data, which allows organizations to optimize design, manufacturing and performance early in the design phase.

We are committed to simulating the whole problem, which is why we take a flexible, multi-physics approach to our analyses, taking into account all heating and cooling factors: conduction, convection, radiation and environmental influences on a first principles basis. We work to apply 3D modeling technology that most closely replicates the three dimensional world we live in. Whatever the thermal challenge may be, ThermoAnalytics is passionate about applying the right solution to address the problem correctly, quickly and completely, ultimately resulting in the optimal outcome for our clients.

Reliable design intelligence earlier in the design process saves both time and cost.
